Preserving Affordable Housing
We aim to add a time requirement to the NYC Housing Connect lottery Community Board Preference. In addition, we aim to review and amend the Community Board preference for development projects on NYCHA land. Additionally, we will be proposing the Tenant Rental Increase Exemption (TRIE). Similar to SCRIE and DRIE, this will allow a rent freeze for tenants making under $50,000 who are paying more than 50% of their income in rent.
